Meet Aunt Laura and Sandy Lunsford

This mother-daughter team began their dream back in 1993 when mom, Sandy, decided she and daughter, Laura should take a cake decorating class for fun.

Laura moved to D.C., in 1997 and in the summer of 2002 friends encouraged her to start her own cake, candy, and catering business called My Favorite Caterer. In the summer of 2005, Laura returned home and along with her mom, they decided to fulfill their dream of opening a sweet shop and tea room. And yes, Aunt Laura really is an Aunt. The shop was named by Laura’s niece Jessica.
